My Story
I am Rob Cable. I was born and raised in the Golden Isles of Georgia. Brunswick, St. Simons, Jekyll Island. This is home. I did not move here for a job. I grew up here, I know this community, and I genuinely care about the people in it.
When I am not working you will probably find me in my garage gym, picking up the guitar again (I recently got back into it and I am still figuring it out), or listening to a podcast trying to learn something new. I have always been curious like that. I think it makes me better at my job because I am always looking for a better way to help my clients.
Honestly I got in by accident. And yeah, I know everyone in this industry says that. But it is true. A good friend of mine who was a realtor introduced me to the business and something just clicked. That was over five years ago and I have zero plans of stopping. This work actually matters to people and that keeps me going every day.
I will be straight with you. I bought my first home through a national builder. The incentives were great but their lender was almost impossible to reach. No returned calls. No updates. Just silence at the worst possible time. Buying a home is already stressful enough without wondering if your lender even knows you exist.
I never forgot what that felt like. So I made it simple. I answer my phone. I respond to texts. I keep you in the loop. That is not a feature I advertise. It is just how everyone deserves to be treated.
Buying a home is exciting. It can also feel like a lot, especially the first time. That feeling is completely normal. It does not mean you are not ready. It just means you care about getting it right.
The single best thing you can do is talk to a lender before you start looking at homes. Not after you fall in love with one. Before. When you know what you qualify for and what you can comfortably afford, the whole process gets a lot easier. In some cases we can even work on improving your credit score ahead of time to save you real money at closing.
You deserve a loan officer who slows down and actually explains what is happening at every step. Not someone who just pushes paperwork through. I take the time because it matters.
The right financing is what turns a good deal into a great one. I know investor loans, how to structure things the right way, and how to make sure the numbers actually work for you.
A lot of times these two groups are the same person at different points in life. The first time buyer builds equity and eventually wants to invest. I want to be the person you call at both stages.
